Illegally copying musics and movies may no longer be an issue

A few moments ago, a team who called themselves as ‘Ace four’ declares that they are currently developing a new copy right protection technology which they named as  ’Ined’( I don’t even know how to pronounce it). Based on their general saying, the Ined is created to  be a new file format, which can be played by its own, without any media player (Does it mean they repack the music file or movie file integrated with a player already?). Anyway, while you play the ‘Ined’ formatted file, it would automatically connect itself to the internet, and check whether its owner reaches the ‘monthly using limits’.

Justin Anderson, who’s the leader of the team, tells us what they really do is to build up a music & video sharing network eventually. Unlike Netflix or blockbuster, their customers would not need to watch a movie through an online system, well they can, but also they could download any movies or musics as they wish to do so. They can easily play the movies or musics on any devices they have, as long as the latter have internet connection. And even better, the certain device doesn’t need to have a player, because the movie can be played by its own! That sounds really interesting. Justin explains to me, any file that downloaded by users like me, contains some encrypted information, such as my user name, computer info, etc., that makes any file unique and can be easily tracked through internet. While the file is playing, the frequency it plays and the length of the time it plays will be recorded to their sharing network. They have a control system called ‘Narse’ that supervises the totally amount of time you can play the resources by monthly basis, and that’s how they protect the file be played indefinitely through P2P networks.

“That’s totally fair for law-abiding person like me”, he says, “you cannot watch two movies simultaneously, even if you can, you definitely cannot spend the time on those things longer than you have.” A prototype of their file and their network is claimed to be established by the team of Ace Four, hope it would end up to be a successful project and can compete on Netflix. Healthy competition brings lower price to the market, that’s what we really want.
